Paper Production

Usage of Coated PCC can be found in paper finish where it improves gloss or aid bonding within the paper.

Our Coated PCC are superb in paper making as functional minerals to confer opacity, brightness, bulk and porosity, to obtain cost savings on pulp and pigment. It enhances the whiteness and opacity for printing.

Fineness in PCC promotes dispersion of coating pigments to achieve the best light scattering for increased coverage of the paper. It improves the pigment efficiency.

High purity and fineness resulted from advanced precipitation process promotes high brightness and whiteness in paper.

Our PCC is the excellent choice to use as functional fillers in paper pulp. It improves the whiteness, opacity, porosity, and bulk and ink receptivity in paper.

When used as a functional filler, Coated PCC improves the opacity of paper by increasing the light scattering coefficient of the filled paper by controlling the specific crystal shape and particular and well defined dimensions of the single crystal values below 0.3 microns.

Porosity and bulk of the paper heightens due to the well-defined shape and dimension of the micro-aggregates of PCC.

Our GCC is used for filling of paper for cost reduction, brightness, buffering in the alkaline pH range, and some opacity. GCC tends to produce a denser paper sheet with higher tensile strength at a given filler level. The strength advantage of GCC can be further improved if the particle size distribution has been narrowed by separation operations after grinding.
